Our church has a traditional Christmas Eve service. The service includes songs sung by our choir and readings from the Bible.  Interspersed throughout these parts of the service, we hear the story of the wise men and the birth of Jesus. We also have candle lighters who light the candles on six candelabras. Finally, we pass the light of Christ by lighting candles that we each have been given when we entered the sanctuary and we sing Christmas Carols.

The candle light casts a warm glow throughout the church and it, along with all the other aspects of the evening service, offer an hour of respite from the demands of the busy holiday season.  Our Christmas service offers an hour of peace and serves to remind us of the true meaning of Christmas as we carry the Light of Christ out of the sanctuary and into the world.
