On the Saturday before Easter, we have an Easter Egg Hunt for the children of our church members, their siblings, and friends. The party features Easter decorations, snacks, and then the Easter egg hunt. The weather determines whether the hunt is held indoors or outside. Each egg has candy and small treats in it. And to add to the excitement of the hunt, the kids know that there is one golden egg which is the “prize” egg. The finder of the golden egg gets an Easter basket filled with gifts that have a Christian theme.
